Our Adult Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Program provides immediate, intensive treatment for adults experiencing severe mental health symptoms. The primary goal of the program is rapid stabilization in a safe and supportive environment, allowing patients to transition to a lower level of care as they progress in their recovery.

Program Overview
The program is structured to help adults regain emotional and psychological stability through comprehensive medical oversight, therapeutic intervention, and individualized care planning.
Key components include:
- Continuous nursing care and monitoring
- Daily psychiatric evaluations by board certified psychiatrists or psychiatric nurse practitioners
- Individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including trauma informed approaches when appropriate
- Individual, group, and family therapy
- Recreational and activity based therapy
- Phobias
- Dual diagnosis support for co occurring substance use disorders
- Discharge planning and coordination of aftercare services
Evaluation
Treatment begins with a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, which may include:
- Clinical interview
- Physical examination
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Social and psychological assessments
- Specialized therapeutic and addiction evaluations, when indicated
Treatment & Follow Up
A multidisciplinary team, led by the patient’s psychiatrist, develops a personalized treatment plan based on clinical needs and recovery goals. Treatment may include:
- Individual and group therapy
- Expressive and coping skills therapies
- Addiction education and support
- Family therapy
- Medication evaluation and management
- Aftercare planning and referrals
Discharge planning begins at admission and continues throughout the patient’s stay to support a smooth transition back to the community.
Clinical Team & Length of Stay
Patients are supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary treatment team throughout their hospitalization.
The average length of stay is 7–14 days, depending on clinical progress and treatment needs. Weekly treatment team meetings are held with the patient to review goals and progress.
